In November, I was honored to win Best Medicine Brigade’s standup comedy competition in Las Vegas at the Military Influencers Conference. The American Legion wrote up a really nice piece on the event, but it was more than just one night but a near-year long process in the making.

When we were still stationed in Japan I initially found the application for the competition and competed at two of their semi-final locations at the Tacoma Comedy Club and the American Legion in San Antonio, Texas. From the latter location I got the “golden ticket'“ to the finals and I was so excited.

Being a military spouse has been one of the best sources of, and audience for, my comedy because it’s a life of great opportunity and great challenges. I’m so proud to be along for the ride and love when I’ve been able to play on military bases (Yokosuka, Yokota, Ft. Campbell coming soon!) and hope to do more of it my career.
